Amber:
You really had an interest in the topic of materialism. I liked how you touched on the main ideas of the article and implemented your own perspective on the issue. The response was descriptive and detailed. I agree with your statement according to Twitchell that Americans have the freedom to buy whatever they want. In the third paragraph I heard you voice coming out. I really like your position on this topic. You wrote “know your budget and stop being materialistic.” Recently many individuals were drowned in debt and what made matter worse was the economy shifting into a recession. I know this due to the media.
Amara:
Your response reminds me of a course I took a couple of years ago. The course was political science and touched on the past of Arizona. I also have lived in Arizona my entire life. I do not plan on moving out; I might do some traveling. You did a good job describing how Phoenix, Arizona originated. Then you touched on potential problems that Arizona is faced with. Your second response this week was equally strong. You had great detail in regards to the issue of Korean immigrants. As I was reading your response I realized that immigrants entering the United States have typical traits like language barriers and labor jobs. I was unaware of the riots that occurred in the early 1990’s. It is amazing to know the Korea American exceed $60,000 annually in income.
